Interventional; an action undertaken in order to change what is happening or might happen in one’s affairs, especially in order to prevent something undesirable.

Endocrinology; a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the endocrine glands.

If you were a smoker and knew that your continued smoking would cause lung cancer, might you stop?  If your cars brakes are worn and you had to drive your children to school each morning, might you take the car in to be services?   Each of these is a preventative measure one that is also interventional.  Reports are published frequently comparing the regularity of Californians providing preventive care service versus their own medical health services. You already know the answer.  We ignore our own bodies and prefer to take care of our cars instead.

Medical science acknowledges the age related decline in the quality of our bodily functions and frequently finds a consistency in the progressive loss of important hormones as we age. But what do the doctors do about it?  In the recent past very little if anything, since it is accepted by traditional medicine that the progressive decay in our bodies is natural and anticipated.  The so called "aging processes".

But nothing is natural about ignoring the ability of medical intervention and the replacement of these hormones to healthy physiological levels.

The role of a physician practicing Interventional Endocrinology is to evaluate the levels of all hormones such as; Thyroid, Testosterone, Estrogens, Progesterone, DHEA, DHT, Growth Hormone, IGF-1, and others to assure that they are all present and at healthy levels.

The Millennium Health Centers has provided thousands of patient treatment cycles over nearly ten years.  In returning deficient levels of hormones back to more youthful, physiological levels, we have seen improvement in multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, dry eye syndromes, scarring of the lungs, accelerated fracture healing, repair of muscle damage, healing of chronic joint injury, regrowth of hair, return of hair color, decreased depression, improvement in blood pressure, improvement of vision, decrease in joint pain with increased range of motion and on and on and on.
